"Striving for Excellence in Structure, Temperament and Type"
My love for dogs began the day I was born. When I was 12 years old, I had the opportunity to raise and obedience train a friend’s Siberian Husky. What I love about them is their zest for life, independent nature and their great sense of humor; very much like me! I could never forget Siberians and finally had my first one when I was 22. Eventually I found a mentor and purchased my first show dogs. That was over 15 years ago, and I have been dedicated to training, breeding, showing and pleasure running exceptional Siberian Huskies.
My purpose in showing and breeding is to produce a Siberian that excels in temperament while maintaining the ability to efficiently work on a sled team as well as striving to eliminate any genetic diseases of the breed.
I always find time to talk Siberians with anyone who needs help or information, so feel free to call me.

The name "Chyndadn" is an Eskimo word meaning ancestor. It is pronounced "Shyn-dawd-in".
We are located in Squaw Valley, CA, which is in the foothills below Sequoia & Kings Canyon National Park. We have a small show kennel located on 4.8 acres. We started with our first "pet" Siberian in 1991 and the "potato chip syndrome" has led us to our current 12 dogs.
We have been blessed with many "mentors" since starting in the conformation ring, some which taught us (the hard way) the importance of a good contract and others which have blessed us with an infinite amount of knowledge about this wonderful breed. Probably our biggest thank you belongs to Bob & Suzie Cornman of Twilite Siberians who allowed us inexperienced novices to have an 8 week old puppy named Kynei who went on to become, AM/INT Ch Chyndadn's Kynei of Twilite, CGC, our foundation male. Without him I can honestly say we wouldn't be here today!! We have had may other friends and "mentors" all of whom have guided us and helped us become the show kennel we are today. Both the good & the bad experiences have helped forge Chyndadn Siberians!
ALL of our dogs are raised IN THE HOUSE as pets first; being a show dog is only the icing on the cake for us. We currently have 2 finished champions, 5 AKC pointed dogs, 4 puppies (under 2 years old), 1 neutered 3-year-old pet and one foster dog. Our entire family (my husband Dave, my 18 year old daughter Brandi, my 16 year old son Kyle and myself, Lori) participates in this hobby and we owner/handle all of our dogs. I have found that having the entire family involved keeps us not only together as a family but bonded in our desire to only ever do what is best for our dogs in our home, the breed ring & in the whelping box!! We do the necessary health checks on our dogs, such as hips (OFA) & eyes (SHOR) and only dogs that are clear of inherited/congenital diseases are involved in our breeding program. We offer health guarantees with all of our puppies, which are outlined, in our contract. ALL PETS are sold on a spay/neuter contract with a limited registration. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this EVER. We will ALWAYS take back a dog of our breeding if they are ever in a situation where they are unwanted or their owner is unable to keep them for ANY reason. We average 1 to 2 litters per year, sometimes less and when we are considering the breeding pair, temperament and health are the top priority, structure & movement closely follow and "typiness" would be then be our last consideration. We attempt to strictly adhere our breeding program to the Siberian Husky standard. As I said before ALL of our Siberians are our pets & house/bed buddies first and foremost, anything else is icing on the cake... therefore many of our "show quality" puppies are living the couch potato life in pet homes. We are absolutely thrilled with the life they get to live and we wouldn't have it any other way!!
Couloir Siberians is a small show kennel located in the Sierra Foothills near Placerville, California. Although predominately a show kennel, our dogs are active in other arenas including recreation sledding, obedience, and backpacking. The dogs are part of our family and our life centers around activities and functions where we can include them. We breed for quality, sound Siberians and Belgian Tervuren with outstanding temperaments that conform to the breed standard. All our breeding stock is hip tested and hold current clear eye certificates before breeding.

“Give them affection and be rewarded for your effort...”
DSSH began with Ken Bullard, Cathy Christensen, two dogs, a used 3-wheeled cart, and a passion for watching dogs enjoy their work. When the tailgate of the truck opens it is impossible to keep them out! In their own way they 'yell' for Cathy and I to hurry up...let's get moving they seem to say.
The two dogs that began it all -- Nanook's Dark Cloud of Wolf (Louie) and Nanook's Sky Spirit of Wolf (Crystal) -- were bred by Carlos Rivera (Vallejo, CA.) and are on their way to becoming AKC champions.
Cathy and I wanted to show everyone how we enjoy these wonderful companions. We by no means are experts in the field of recreational carting/sledding but can lead you to those that are. We just do what seems to work for us. After reading several good books we simply watch our dogs to learn from them -- then enjoy the ride.

Home of AKC Ch. Kristari's Black Ice in Beautiful Cody WY!
Lycaon Siberians began in 1996 when David surprised me with a card full of Siberian Husky puppy pictures in my Mother’s Day card with a message stating that I could “Go pick your puppy”. We chose a very outgoing, full of attitude, little bi-eyed black and white boy that we named Snosecret’s Mischa Alexi. Right away, we started thinking about showing him. With guidance from Mischa’s breeder, Cheryl Liddle, we entered him at 5 months in a fun match. Well, e took a second place in his class, even though I had absolutely no idea what I was supposed to have him do. I had never even been to a dog show before. That was it, I was hooked!
Mischa and I spent a full year going to classes almost every week to learn to show as a team. All the work paid off when he took a 3 point major for his first points at only 18 months. Together we went on to take the full 15 points needed for him to finish his AKC Championship and even managed to take 3 majors. Boy did we learn a lot along the way.
Since becoming completely hooked on Siberians, we have worked to slowly and carefully to increase our numbers. We have “home” bred one litter of which we are very proud of the outcomes. We have also “out” bred Mischa twice and are very proud of those puppies as well. Our puppies from each of these litters are working to make names for themselves in the show ring like their parents and grandparents before them.
Not only do we show our Siberians, but we work them in harness as well. If you want to see our dogs truly excited, just stay and watch their reaction when I bring out the harnesses. We have a cart to road work them, as snow is quite scarce in Northern California. All of my neighbors know me as “That lady with the huskies” and they love to come out and see us run on by. We feel very strongly that it is important that a truly sound Siberian should be able to work in harness as well as compete in the show ring.
Our kennel goal is to produce the best quality Siberians that we possibly can. We strive to produce dogs that are friendly, outgoing, structurally sound, easy movers, and have that attitude “spark” that says “look at me”. We test our Siberians to be sure they are free of eye disease by the Canine Eye Certification Foundation (CERF) and are free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Our dogs are raised in a loose “pack” lifestyle, so they are very well socialized and know how to relate well with other dogs. With our large family, all of the dogs have tons of hand-on human socialization from the moment they are born.
We are active members of the Mount Hamilton Siberian Husky Club where Cyndie has served as the Treasurer for the past two years. We are always open to any inquires about our wonderful breed. Actually, it must be said, just give us any excuse to talk about Siberians and we’ll be happy to share every bit of information we can.

Our goal is to produce healthy dogs that are easy to live with and that are competitve in the show ring, as well as perform in harness.
All breeding stock is certified free of hip dysplasia by OFA, and genetic eye disease by CERF.
Puppies are whelped in the heart of our loving home, where they receive lots of attention and handling by family and friends. We think that early socialization will help each pup handle many of the situations that life may deal them either in their respective home or the show ring, etc.

"Home of Happy Howling Huskies"
Shakeena Siberians is proud of its "happy howling huskies' bred for style, movement, temperament and quality. Our Siberians, recognized for their outstanding movement in the conformation ring, typify the standard of the Siberian breed. Our Siberians great temperaments make them outstanding Siberian ambassadors.
Shakeena Siberians got its name by combining the names of tow kennel sisters, Shanna and Keena. We established ourselves with the purchase of our first Siberian Husky in 1989. We have moved to Brentwood (Northern California) where our kennel population has quietly grown to 19 Siberian Huskies.
Our kennel goal is to produce the highest quality Siberian through sound and selective breeding. All our Siberians are certified free of eye disease by the Canine Eye Certification Foundation (CERF) and free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. (OFA). None of our Siberians are considered for breeding until they have all their certifications.
The welfare of our puppies is always a top priority for us. Beginning with the day they are whelped in our bedroom, our puppies are socialized through love, gentle handling and increased challenging living experiences. Puppies are introduced into the main kennel at about four weeks while their socialization continues with the main kennel population, increased exposure to outside conditions, and more frequent contact with human "strangers".
We are active members of the Siberian Husky Club of America, the International Siberian Husky Club and the Mt. Hamilton Siberian Husky Club. We welcome all inquiries about our breed and will always spend as much time as desired to answer questions and discuss the secrets of our fabulous Siberian Husky Breed.
"Soundness in Body - Soundness in Mind"
Snao Siberians began in 1996 when I purchased my first purebred dog, a Siberian Husky from Susan House of Wendonah Siberians. I wanted the best puppy that I could find and selected Am/Int/Nat Ch Wendonah’s Oli Olly Oxen Free, aka Oli. Since Oli I have added three additional Siberian Huskies and a wonderful German Wirehair Pointer named Odin from Mildred Revell of Weidenhugel Kennels in Cotati.
People keep asking where my kennel name came from, it is compiled of the first letter of former and current dogs: Skippy, Nipper, Abbott and Oli.
Here at Snao Siberians our dogs’ eyes are checked yearly by a veterinary ophthalmologist accredited with the Canine Eye Certification Foundation (CERF). Also their hips tested free of hip dysplasia by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals, Inc. (OFA). One more test the dogs undergo is a check of Thyroid levels. Ultimately I follow the guidelines set up by the Siberian Husky Club of America regarding breeding.
I am active in the following clubs:
We became involved with the Siberian Husky in 1982 and have been devoted to the breed ever since. Our dogs are an integral part of our family, and in addition to regularly exhibiting them in the conformation ring at dog shows we participate in activities such as recreational sledding and working pack dog hikes.
Much of our time is spent educating newcomers to the breed. We believe that knowledge is crucial to the protection and advancement of a breed, and as we continue to learn we share that which we have learned with others.
Our kennel name, Sutaisa, is derived from a combination of names of our first three Siberian Huskies, Sumi, Tai and Sashi. We are caring and responsible breeders, committed to protecting the future of our breed by striving to produce the highest quality Siberian Husky through a sound and very selective breeding program.
All of our breeding dogs are certified free of hip dysplasia and hereditary eye diseases. We firmly believe that a puppy's socializing begins in the whelping box through love and plenty of gentle handling. By the time our puppies leave us they have been exposed to a wide variety of experiences to give them a solid start in their new lives.
We are sincerely concerned for the welfare of our puppies, and readily make ourselves available to all of our puppy buyers. We provide education, encouragement, support and advice through all stages of the puppy's life. We feel very fortunate to have maintained contact with our puppy buyers throughout the years, and have had the privilege to develop very special friendships through the love of dogs.
